950 Gallon High Shear Bentonite Mix System
Compact 950-gallon mix-clean-recover unit for HDD crews: three tanks, two hydro-cyclones and an STS M2 high-shear mixer on one skid. Available electric (950E) or diesel (950D).
The Mini MAC 950 puts drilling fluid mixing, cleaning and an active supply tank on one compact skid. It's built for HDD and other drilling jobs where you want a smaller footprint than the MAC JR-1200.
How it works
- Mix: An STS M2 mixer at the rear uses the 4-point StS mixing system to blend and shear new bentonite fluid in the 250 US gal mix tank. When the fluid is ready, turn one valve to send it to the active tank.
- Supply the rig: The 500 US gal active tank holds mixed fluid for the drill to draw from.
- Clean used fluid: Your 2" pit pump fills the 200 US gal center tank with used drilling fluid. The mixer pump sends it through two 2 1/2" hydro-cyclones (16 gpm each, 5-micron cut). Clean overflow goes back to the active tank. Solids are routed away for disposal.
- Keep it moving: Every tank has a rolled bottom and 5-1 eductor nozzles, so the fluid stays agitated and consistent.
One motor and one pump do all of these jobs with the right valve settings. That means fewer moving parts to maintain.
Built for the job site
- Operate it from the ground. The tanks are 61" high, so you can see into them without climbing.
- Low 38 3/4" hopper that holds 1/2 bag, so loading bags is easier on your back.
- 2" schedule 40 pipe, brass and steel valves, 2" cam-lock couplings
- 2" NPT ports on both sides of each tank, so you don't run hoses over the top
- Open-top tanks with side clean-out access
- Two heavy-duty screw jacks for levelling, front or rear pockets, stored on the unit
- Tie-down and securing points on the frame
